Returns & Exchanges Policy

At Des by Design, we want you to love your purchase. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, you’re welcome to return your item for a repair, replacement, store credit, or cash refund – depending on the situation.
Please take note of the guidelines below. This policy applies to items purchased directly from Des by Design online. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions, and nothing here affects your statutory rights.

General Returns

You can return an item provided that:

  • It is unused and undamaged, with original tags/labels still attached.
  • It includes all accessories or parts that came with it.
  • It has not been personalised or custom-made for you (unless faulty).

Sale Items

  • No cash refunds on SALE purchases.
  • If returned, you’ll receive a store credit voucher for the value of your purchase.

What To Do

  1. Email us at orders@desbydesign.com within 14 days of receiving your order.
  2. In your email, please include:
    • Your order number
    • The reason for your return or exchange
    • How do you plan to return your item? Please note that you will be responsible for arranging your own courier to Des by Design.
  3. Once we receive your email, we’ll respond with the next steps and return details.
    We reserve the right to inspect the item to validate the return. Once approved, refunds will be processed within 7 days. Please allow 5–10 working days for the amount to reflect in your account.

Exchanges

  • We’ll arrange a courier to collect your item and deliver your exchange, all at your cost.
  • Please include your address and preferred collection date in your email.
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

International Orders

At this stage, we unfortunately cannot accommodate returns or exchanges on international purchases due to high shipping costs.

Defective Products

We take pride in our quality. If an item arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue promptly.

A defect means a manufacturing fault or flaw that makes the product less acceptable than you’d reasonably expect. The following will not be considered defects:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or incorrect care.
  • Alterations not done by Des by Design.
  • Products that match the description provided online but don’t suit your personal preference.

Important Notes & Charges

  • If you return an item without all its accessories/parts, we may deduct the missing value from your refund.
  • If an item doesn’t meet the return requirements, you may be responsible for courier costs to have it sent back to you.
